University of Arkansas Herbarium

Description

The University of Arkansas Herbarium (UARK) was founded in 1875 and contains approximately 125,000 specimens of vascular plants and nearly 3,000 bryophyte specimens. The vascular plant collection also includes 65 type specimens. The herbarium houses collections of notable University of Arkansas botanists John T. Buchholz, Delzie Demaree, Francis L. Harvey, Hugh H. Iltis, and Dwight M. Moore.
