Description

The Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral - ESPOL, is a public university located in Guayaquil, Ecuador. ESPOL has nine faculties or schools, including the Faculty of Life Sciences, where the Biology department operates, and the Faculty of Maritime Engineering and Marine Sciences, which offers programs related to aquaculture. It has fourteen research centers, among which is the Biotechnology Center of Ecuador focused on agricultural biotechnology, and the National Center for Aquaculture and Marine Research, which works on the improvement and sustainable development of aquaculture and marine biodiversity in Ecuador.
