The ENCB houses one of the most important collections in Mexico. This is the ENCB herbarium in which more than a million specimens are deposited, among them 6,700 correspond to the group of algae. The ENCB herbarium is more than 60 years old since it was founded, representing a large number of investigations carried out in this school.
