The Goulandris Natural History Museum is a private, non profit institution that hosts 357.000 specimens, dealing with biodiversity and geodiversity. The specimens come from all over Greece but also the other continents. The Museum was founded in 1964 by Angelos and Niki Goulandris having as its main goal the research, cataloguing and study of the country’s natural resources as well as the evaluation of biotopes in cooperation with Research Centres, Museums and Universities in Greece and abroad.
