Teylers Museum opened its doors in 1784 and is now known as the oldest museum in the Netherlands. Teylers Museum's collection, comprising drawings and prints, paintings, numismatics, fossils, minerals, instruments, and a natural science library, is of international significance from both a content and historical perspective.
