Center Introduction:
To address the challenges posed by global climate change in terms of the environment, ecology, water resources management, disaster prevention, and technological innovation, the “Institute of Water Resources Development” was established. This center systematically integrates the technologies and resources of related departments within the university, serving as a platform for research and exchange in water resources technology. It provides professional technical services and expert consultation required for industry-academia collaboration projects.
The center provides services in international and cross-strait exchanges, industry-academia collaboration, and research on water resources and water environment issues. It is highly regarded for facilitating academic exchanges and visits, conducting water resources technology research, and introducing, promoting, and applying innovative technologies. The research and service projects encompass various fields, including ecological engineering assessments, watershed adaptation planning, hydrological and sediment monitoring, small/micro hydropower generation, hydro-sediment transport, water resources disaster management and information applications, water information dissemination and marketing, promotion of water environment education, cross-strait water resources professional exchange, water environment surveys and research, and the development of blueprints for county and municipal water environment planning.
