Research and conservation are our main focus. We firmly believe that well designed and executed collaborative scientific research is essential to identify, characterize and evaluate environmental problems so as to prepare clear actions for evidence based decision making. Thus, we closely work in partnership with various organizations ranging from academic institutions and non-governmental organization to government authorities to carry out activities on diverse thematic areas such as biodiversity, climate change, disaster risk management, pollution and environmental awareness. Our research on wildlife and biodiversity are primarily targeted towards the non-charismatic plants and animal groups species such as herpetofauna (amphibians and reptiles), small mammals, birds, fishes, insects and habitats associated with them. Research efforts on biodiversity conservation are complemented by exploring the human dimensions interlinked with conservation issues and restoration ecology. Integrating scientific evidence with local context, using both scientific and socio-economic tools and approaches, are important organizational priority.
