Putnam Museum and Science Center Herbarium

Description

The Putnam Museum herbarium holds nearly 19,000 specimens. Approximately 56% of the collection dates to the 19th century, with the earliest specimens being collecting in the 1830s. About 37% of the specimens were harvested in Iowa and Illinois in the vicinity of the Quad Cities.
