Description

Siberian Federal University is the main institution dealing with the issues of studying, using, protecting of biodiversity of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, training specialists in this field. The institution has a herbarium (KRSU), a zoological museum. The collection funds include samples from the territory of the Siberian region. The herbarium fund is more than 50 thousand storage objects. The main studies relate to plants, vertebrates, insects, lichens, fungi. There are three editions (for the period 2024) of the Red Books on plants and fungi of Krasnoyarsk Territory and more than three editions on animals.
