Oil Palm Growers Association of Guatemala -GREPALMA- was founded in 2008 with the aim of consolidating small, medium and large oil palm producers in the country committed to the sustainable production of palm oil.
Its main areas of work are: sectorial representation, political advocacy, sustainability, strategic communication and agricultural technical strengthening. These axes are addressed through the following operational areas:
- Capacity building and technology transfer.
- Promotion of strategic alliances.
- Execution of sectoral programs and projects.
- Generation of sectoral information.
Currently, 41 companies from the palm sector are associated, representing 72% of the cultivation established in the country.
GREPALMA promotes legal compliance as a universal principle and promotes environmental, social and labor responsibility on a permanent basis.
