We research and apply the principles of landscape ecology in order to advance the science of landscape sustainability. Under the current context of global change, we look at the landscape under a transdisciplinary perspective that integrates the social, environmental and economic components that operate in the territory at multiple scales. We promote the application of landscape ecology as a fundamental discipline for an adequate decision making in the use and sustainability of natural resources.
