Public descriptionThe collection of specimens of the Farallon Dillon Nautical Museum is housed in the Chapel of the Virgen del Cisne de los Navegantes built by the owners of the Hostería Farallon Dillon in the 1990s. Here lie nautical items collected by Captain Alberto Dillon during his period as a merchant marine. The natural history pieces correspond to the bones of aquatic vertebrates, taxidermed sea turtles, coral and shells of different species. The collection has a use for environmental education since visits to museums by people from different parts of the world are important. The museum receives at least 10,000 visitors a year.
