Public description

The Cornell Plant Pathology Herbarium (CUP) is a research collection of fungi. We hold about 400,000 preserved fungus, lichen, and plant disease specimens, including over 12,000 type specimens, many of which arise from Cornell's long history of mycological research. The CUP Photograph Collection includes over 60,000 historical scientific photographs of mushrooms and other fungi, agricultural practices, plant diseases, and portraits of researchers. Our active collection supports modern research and citizen science.
