National Mushroom Centre is an agency under Department of Agriculture with four different programs. Each program has its specific function such as Myco-diversity Program looks after any affairs related to wild mushrooms(wild mushroom inventory and data recording, sustainable harvesting, mushroom poisoning, and mushroom identification), Research Program looks after mushroom cultivation trials, Extension Program looks after extension of the mushroom cultivation techniques into the farmer's field and Laboratory Program produces and supplies mother and cultivation spawn.
