UNISANGIL es titular La colección biológica de referencia de macroinvertebrados acuáticos CBMUS contiene registros biológicos de macroinvertebrados acuáticos, los cuales son de importancia ecológica al ser bioindicadores de calidad en sistemas hídricos (lóticos y lénticos). Estas muestras han sido recolectadas en la ejecución de proyectos de investigación y estudios ambientales, las cuales representan la diversidad presente a nivel departamental y nacional.
