La Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (FCEyN) de la Universidad Nacional de La Pampa (UNLPam) cuenta con una estructura académica y administrativa, consolidada a través de más de 40 años de existencia. En esta institución se dictan 13 carreras en forma permanente, y ofrece los dos primeros años de Ingeniería Civil por Convenio con la UNICEN (Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires). También ofrece, por convenio con la Provincia de La Pampa, la Tecnicatura en Hidrocarburos. De las 13 carreras dictadas, nueve están comprendidas en Carreras Científico Tecnológicas: Ingeniería en Recursos Naturales y Medio Ambiente, Ingeniería Civil, Licenciaturas en Matemática, en Física, en Química, en Ciencias Biológicas, en Geología, en Enfermería Universitaria. A partir del ciclo lectivo 2018 se dicta también una Tecnicatura en Informática de Gestión. Además, se dictan cinco Profesorados; la FCEyN estimula la realización de carreras de postgrado, vinculadas con actividades de investigación de su personal docente. A su vez, promueve y facilita la tramitación de fondos externos de financiación para la realización de esos estudios. Esta Facultad cuenta con una colección Paleontológica que fue creada en el año 1987 a través de los aportes de investigadores de la UNLPam y, a partir del 2008, del Instituto de Ciencias de la Tierra y Ambientales de La Pampa (INCITAP; CONICET-UNLPam).The Facultad de Ciencias Exactas y Naturales (FCEyN for its Spanish acronym) of the Universidad Nacional de La Pampa (UNLPam) has an academic and administrative structure, settled through more than 40 years of existence. In this institution 13 undergraduate degrees are taught permanently, and offers the first two years of the Civil Engineering degree by agreement with UNICEN (Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires). It also offers, by agreement with the Province of La Pampa, a bachelor degree on Hydrocarbons. Among the 13 degrees taught, nine are included in Science and Technology Careers: Engineering in Natural Resources and Environment, Licenciate in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, Geology, and Nursing. As of the 2018 school year, a Major in Management Information Systems is also offered. Also, five teaching degrees are offered. The FCEyN encourages the completion of postgraduate studies, linked to research activities of its Faculty staff. At the same time, it promotes and facilitates the application for external funding to carry out these studies. This Faculty has a Paleontological Collection created in 1987 through the contributions of UNLPam researchers and, since 2008, of the researchers from the Instituto de Ciencias de la Tierra y Ambientales de La Pampa (INCITAP; CONICET-UNLPam).
