Public description

Grown in Haiti (GiH) is a grassroots collective based in Haiti, dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and environmental resilience. Operating since 2014, GiH’s key initiatives include the propagation and free distribution of locally adapted seeds and saplings, the establishment of living seed banks, and the facilitation of workshops centered on regenerative agriculture techniques. With a particular emphasis on syntropic agroforestry, GiH works diligently to conserve local ecosystems, enhance food security, and uplift communities throughout Haiti. Our work also extends to documenting the diverse flora and fauna, contributing valuable data to the understanding and preservation of Haiti’s unique biodiversity.
