We are a private, non-profit science, technology, and innovation institution. Since 2010, we have been promoting scientific research and sharing knowledge. We operate through ITV Sustainable Development, in Belém (Pará, Brazil). We research technological and scientific solutions for the challenges of the mining chain and society, seeking better options for the present and the future, promoting the development of technological solutions, stimulating socio-environmental transformations, and collaborating to build a more just and sustainable society. Our mission is to create future options through scientific research and technology development to expand Vale's knowledge and business frontiers sustainably. Our vision is to become a reference as an institution of excellence in developing science and technology in mining and sustainable development. We aim to generate knowledge to improve people's lives and the planet in the middle of the largest Brazilian biome: the Amazon Forest. With our laboratories and a multidisciplinary team of researchers and scholarship holders, we work to ensure that science is a bridge to preserve the forest and provide a better quality of life for all. Our research groups study the physical, biotic, and socioeconomic environment. We believe that, together, we can do more. In this sense, we have established partnerships with scientific institutions in Brazil and abroad, as well as in training young scientists. ITV also offers a professional master's degree course open to society, contributing to more sustainable mining and a more sustainable planet.
