Public descriptionNational Scientific Center "Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking named after V.E. Tairov" of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine - the main research institution in the field of viticulture in Ukraine. Scientific activity began in 1905 with the creation of the first scientific research institution in the country, "Vinemaking station of Russian winegrowers and winemakers". Vasyl Yehorovych Tairov, an outstanding expert in the field of viticulture and winemaking, was the founder of the station.
On November 21, 2003, the status of the National Scientific Center was granted to the Institute for significant achievements in complex scientific research.
Today, the institute solves scientific problems in such priority areas of viticulture and winemaking.
The presence of a monument park of garden park art "Tairovsky Arboretum", included in the nature reserve fund of Ukraine, gives an opportunity to expand the horizons of research.
